Oban Bay

August Bank Holiday Monday - well the banks were closed, at least!
Had to go into Oban to return library books so took the camera and decided to "be a tourist". Took these pictures as a very full 4pm ferry to Mull was leaving.

Harvest Time

Walked around the garden to see if any blackberries were ready yet - only a few were. But I found a few windfalls from the apple and pear trees. The rowan berries are looking good, and no doubt the birds will enjoy them.

Don't know what this is. The leaves are from a rose. The egg shaped objects are attached to the underside.

Visited a friend who has a lovely garden. The dahlias are particularly good just now.
