December sunset
This was taken from the same location as the "big wave" picture below. Its December 14th and still stormy, but now its heavy showers with sleet. The view is looking just west of south over Tralee Bay, Benderloch. The dark land in the distance is the island of Kerrera, across from Oban bay. I took it at about 3:15pm.

Looking across the dunes at the west end of Tralee beach. The cliffs in the centre are at the base of Ben Lora and I'm told they mark end of an ancient lava flow from the volcanic Ben Cruachan which is about 10 miles away. The main road between Oban and Fort William runs below the cliffs. Benderloch village is hiding on the left of the picture.
