Nice view to the Isle of Mull

Standing by the coastline of Loch Linnhe, Benderloch looking across to the Isle of Mull.

Dusk, Loch creran

On the side of Loch Creran near Rhugarbh this evening. this is a favourite spot of mine for sunsets and while there wasn't a red sky tonight I was pleased that my wide-angle lens was able to include the fence and the tree in the one shot. I shall hope to return here again for some good sunsets.

Tralee bay sunset

Today was the day an ash cloud from the Icelandic volcano came our way and all flights were cancelled. A predicted side effect of the ash should be some dramatic sunsets. I took this image at about 8:30 this evening. Nice enough, but not exceptional. I was able to include some yellow flowering gorse in the foreground.

Maybe tomorrow evening will be better, if it's not too cloudy.

Views from Connel Bridge

On the first warm day of the year (April 9th) this was the view looking east over the flowering gorse onto Loch Etive.

Its only a week since the last blizzard but already most of the snow has melted from Ben Cruachan.
