Sorting through a few pictures on this cold January evening, I came across this view of the Lismore to Port Appin passenger ferry taken last summer. The boat is being piloted by my friend Allan, who had spotted me plus camera/tripod and positioned his berthing perfectly! Its a short crossing, about five minutes from the north end of the island to the mainland a few miles north of us. There's a car ferry which connects Lismore with Oban from further south down the island.
