The TV news today has been full of pictures of the problems caused by snow in England and Wales. Up here, on Scotland's west highland coast the weather has been lovely all week. OK, quite cold, but very clear. Last night I was being driven through the hills to a meeting at Dalmally and the stars were bright right down to the horizon. We even saw several shooting stars - rather magical.
The pictures are -
(upper) Ardmucknish Bay and Tralee Beach in the distance
(lower) the view up Loch Creran towards the distant Glencoe hills.
