It turned out to be a wet evenig on June 21st so I was glad that I'd taken this shot the night before. Midsummer sunset is around 22:15hr here and stays close to that time for quite a while. I'm posting this on July 12th at 22:50hr. Tonight's official sunset time was 22:05hr and I'm still watching the fading  remains through my study window.

Glencoe & Ballachulish

Some photos taken walking near Ballachulish and Glencoe villages. If you are staying around Benderloch allow yourself about 40 minutes for the drive north up the coastline of Loch Linnhe.

Beech wood

Inside the forest on Ben Lora in the area dominated by beech trees. This view, straight into the sun, was taken late in the day coming down the hill as the sun was getting low. Its an HDR of three exposures.

I haven't been out and about much recently due to ill-health but have now managed to get up some hills again. So here's an HDR shot I took from Ben Lora looking north over Loch Creran to the Appin and Ballachulish hills.
