Historic comparisons. The view south down the main road out of Benderloch in the early 1900s, and the same view in 2006.
The house on the left was the store and Post Office - notice the doorway is now a window. The building in the distance is the "old" Campbell Memorial Hall which is now a house.
The Hall was built in memory of John Campbell "The Ledaig Bard", a famous teacher/pastor/poet/postman who held a weekly Sunday school in a cave above the sea shore. In late 2005 the road, now the A828 trunk road, was widened and resurfaced.
