Cloud cleared this afternoon and the sun shone on the hills just in time for me to capture this high-tide view of Connel Bridge, two miles south of Benderloch. For most of the day this is a wild stretch of water as the tide flows rapidly over the underwater cliff. This causes waves and whirlpools called the "Falls of Lora" which make for hazardous navigation but which are popular with canoeists. (See pictures on earlier post.)
An ongoing series of photos taken around the Benderloch area of the Scottish West Highlands. If you would like more information about the area, including tourist and "where to stay" info please visit the Benderloch website - link on sidebar. Enjoy the pictures, and remember that if you click on a picture a larger version will open. Steve.
